Want to discover what China can offer you? Experience your most memorable summer to date by joining our six-week immersion program to combine the best of China with language, culture and business!

Our brand new summer camp is divided between three weeks each in Beijing and Shanghai, where you can first discover the culture and history of Beijing before diving into the fast and exciting pace of life in futuristic Shanghai. Throughout the program, you will study intensive Chinese in small classes with our highly qualified teachers, as well as taking part in company visits and business seminars. On top of this, there will be two cultural activities each week, as well as exciting excursions within and around each city.

Breakdown of the program

A)   Classes and business

Hutong School's innovative teaching method is especially suitable for Western students: the main focus is on speaking in day-to-day situations and practicing what was already learned so that the students start to communicate in real life:

• Small groups (6 students max.)
• Students are divided into groups according to their Chinese level
• Schedule: Monday to Friday from 9:00 till 12:00
• Each class lasts 50 minutes followed by a 10-minute break

Beginners will reach HSK level 2 in 6 weeks, or become fluent in oral Chinese if you already have a background in the language.

You will also take part in four business seminars and company visits (two in each city).

B)   Trips and activities

Explore the best of what China has to offer and make unforgettable memories with our excursions and cultural activities!

• Travel back in time as you explore the old hutong alleyways of Beijing, the Great Wall, ancient temples and the imposing Forbidden City
• Spend a weekend outside of Shanghai in the beautiful city of Hangzhou and explore nearby water towns
• Experience life in China together with two cultural activities per week organised by the school (such as martial arts, calligraphy and cycling), which will give you a broad understanding of Chinese history and culture

C)   Accommodation and practical support

• Included in the price is accommodation in our clean and comfortable shared apartments close to the school, where you will have your own private room and all utilities including Wi-Fi provided.
• We provide practical assistance throughout your stay to ensure a smooth trip, including visa assistance beforehand and 24/7 emergency support.
